My whole family met up in Portland to celebrate before Parker heads to the Czech Republic at the end of August on his mission. We had a blast and no blood was shed during the week (which was a huge accomplishment considering we even took family pictures)! I couldn't get enough of the 70 degree weather, it was a nice break from our high 90's with 90% humidity that we have had for the past month! Most of the trip was spent hanging out by the pool and house but we managed to pack in a few fun outings. The time went by way too quickly! We were easily entertained watching the boys try and outdo each other on the diving board. We watched some awesome back flops but all of them finally nailed a gainer by the end of the week. We spent several hours watching the World Cup, which was much more exciting with the extra commentary provided by the boys! We scored passes to the Nike employee store and were able to do some major damage shopping! Curtis found his true calling in life hosting the family minute-to-win-it challenge put on by "Happy Holder Events". One evening my mom took all the kids and moms to see the broadway version of the Lion King. Calla loved it and sat through the entire show signing all of the animals and dancing to the music. The day before we left we took a day trip out to Oceanside, OR to the beach. It was beautiful and cold! Perhaps the best highlight of the trip was going to the Portland temple for the first time with all of my siblings/spouses! We of course had to make interesting with Cyd's broken insulin pump, 455 blood sugar, and a frantic search for some insulin! But all was well and it made for a fun adventure!

Calla trying on some soccer shoes she discovered at the Nike store!

Despite a "foot cramp" Curtis was able to land the gainer!
Grandma had a purple noodle!

Could there be a cuter baby? Saylor's version of sunbathing.
