Snakes, Bubbles, and Churros

Conversations with Calla:

While I'm getting her out of the crib...
Me: "Good morning Calla what did you dream about?"
Calla: "Snakes!" is her usual response.

In the morning while we're getting ready...
Me: "Calla, what should we do today?"
Calla: "Costco...churro" is the automatic reply.

After a nap, whether it is snowing, raining, or 20 degrees outside...
Me: "Calla what should we do?"
Calla: "Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles, bubbles".

This girl cracks me up. We went to a nature museum about a month ago and she was fascinated by the snakes. That fascination has turned into an obsession! Now we make snakes out of play dough at least once a day and we sing about snakes in our made up verse from the wheels on the bus. The other day we even heard her talking about snakes in her sleep! Curtis took her to the library to look at snake books and she sat mesmorized. The hilarious part is that Curtis is absolutely terrified of snakes and hates to even look at them. She is also in love with Costco and bubbles. At least I can understand those obsessions. I'd go to Costco everyday for a snack and a churro if it wasn't so far away. I can't wait to see what the next obsession will be!

With her prized churro at Costco!

So funny! Emma is also into snakes right now. She tells me that snakes live in her bottom.

She is one cute girl. And I see so much of the Nichol family in her face. Congrats on the second, by the way! Hope you are feeling good these days.

I thought the churro from Costco sounded like a great idea to keep Alice in the cart. She took a bite and spit it out. I, of course, ate the whole thing - minus one tiny bite. It was really good!
