A few years ago a friend invited us to a Valentine's Day fondue party. She moved away but we have kept the tradition alive for the past two years. It is much more fun to spend Valentine's eating yummy food with friends at home rather than in an overcrowded, overpriced restaurant. Curtis was a stud and grilled the chicken outside while it was snowing. Good thing he didn't get frostbite in the blizzard-like conditions (his words not mine)! Last year we did a full fondue party but this year we changed things up a bit. The menu was':
Appetizers
cheese fondue
crescent wrapped little smokies with a sweet walnut glaze
Main Course
chicken marsala
homemade foccacia bread
proscuttio wrapped asparagus with feta cheese and balsamic drizzle
Dessert
white chocolate bread pudding with raspberry sauce
milk chocolate fondue
We ended the night watching the Olympic opening ceremonies. I love the Olympics! It brings back fun memories from volunteering for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics.
