I had to work on Christmas Eve so we hopped on a direct flight to San Diego after work and arrived just in time for dinner. We spent a fun day with family! Calla was excited to open presents and was very patient with unwrapping. She pulled off the paper piece by piece. Of all her presents her favorite had to be the $1 basket of fake fruit from the dollar section! She loved her "neigh" bouncy horse and loved Doris' Elmo live. Too bad we gave her a little stuffed Elmo that doesn't sing or dance! We took a break to enjoy steak and eggs (a tradition Curtis' mom grew up with) and then continued the marathon of present opening. We got spoiled! We spent the rest of our trip playing with cousins at the park, eating way too much food, visiting friends, riding the Coaster, visiting the beach and enjoying the warm weather. Since we were already out west we decided to pull off a quick 2 day surprise trip to Park City to see the rest of our family and do some skiing. There were 2 downers on the trip...Curtis' Grandma Doris caught pneumonia and had to be hospitalized and Calla was very clingy and whiny! Luckily Doris got better quickly and Calla has snapped out of her phase for the moment!
