Turkey Day!

We spent Thanksgiving in Palm Desert with Curtis' family. We had a blast being together in Melba's (Curtis' grandma) 1970's decorated resort home! I love the lime green, orange, and hot pink color scheme! The kids swam in the pool and did crafts, we hiked, shopped, ate date shakes, and enjoyed hanging out. At the last minute we sent Ashtyn on a plane home with Curtis' sister Corey so she didn't have sit in the car for 10 hours. It was the best decision ever on my end! Luckily, Corey is a trooper and Asthtyn wasn't too crazy! Thank you Corey! When we got back we enjoyed our second turkey dinner with my family. The official title of the dinner was called "Mangiving" since the men did all of the cooking. The food was incredible and I think we started a new family tradition. While the men cooked and watched kids the women shopped! They cooked 2 turkeys, one fried and one roasted, and used a secret ingredient (coke) in all of their recipes. I'm excited for next year!
