Curtis surprised me with a late anniversary present, a sunset hot air balloon ride in Del Mar! We piled in a basket with 10 other passengers and floated up over Rancho Santa Fe. I thought I was going to be nervous because I'm not a huge fan of heights but it was amazing. We couldn't see Curtis' house but we had fun checking out huge mansions that we'd love to own one day. It was actually quite hot in the balloon because of the heater overhead. We got up to about 2000 feet high at one point and spent about an hour and a half on the ride. The most exciting was the landing because the pilot never really knows where it will be. Luckily, our landing was uneventful and the grounds crew was there to keep us from tipping over. We had fun watching another basket nearby tip. Thanks for a fun evening, Curtis. Happy 8th Anniversary!
