My garden has not been the greatest this year due to a combination of bugs, hot weather, and Calla! She loves checking on the garden and usually picks things before they are ripe. Cherry tomatoes and cantaloupe are two of her favorites and luckily they are about the only things that have actually grown. Calla managed to wait patiently for a few weeks for her cantaloupe to ripen. However, she must have given it lots of hugs and pats because one day I found it had come off the vine a little early and was very ripe! She loved every bite!
