Broken Leg?

We took Calla to the park yesterday afternoon and during her last slide before we were to leave her right leg got caught on the side of the slide. She cried for a while and then wouldn't walk on it. I called my friend Emily who is a PA in pediatric orthopedics and she said that is it likely a toddler's fracture of the tibia! She got us an appointment right away with her old practice. Xrays were luckily negative but the Dr. said sometimes these fractures don't show up! She elected not to cast her and we will she how she does for the next few weeks. It is so sad to she my baby with a gimpy leg! She is like a little flamingo holding her right leg up in the air. She will walk a little bit on the leg if she's holding onto something but has figured out that crawling is the way to go. Sometimes she forgets her leg is hurt and tries to run on it but collapses. I'm not sure if her leg is broken but my heart is!
