We spent all day Friday digging up this tree from the builder's lot next door and moving it to its new home in our yard. The builder is finally moving the trailer and told us we could take any bushes or trees. Curtis was so excited to replace our pathetic tree that only grew an inch in 3 years! Curtis thought we were going to be able to dig it up and then move with the help of a friend. Boy were we wrong. We couldn't even get it to budge. Luckily the truck was much stronger. We pulled it out with the truck and then dragged it behind the truck to our house. People looked at us like we were crazy and didn't know if they should call the police to report a couple stealing a tree! We dug a gigantic hole and then four of us somehow rolled the tree to the hole. We can hardly move today but it was worth our efforts. What a crazy weekned project!
