For Father's Day I gave Curtis the best present ever and let him spend the whole weekend with Calla while I headed to NYC to meet Katie, Cyd, and my Mom for NGGW (Nichol Girls Gone Wild) Part 2. My dad planned the trip for my mom's birthday/mother's present. We also were celebrating my mom's new life as an empty nester. It was my first trip without Calla. I missed her like crazy but had such an amazing time. Nothing beats a girls trip to NYC with 4 of your best friends. My friend Sheree and her 6 week old baby Elsie were there on a business trip with her husband so I got to hang out with her! Thanks so much Dad and Curtis! I can't wait until NGGW Part 3! Some of the highlights of the trip were:
- Lunch at Carmine's and followed Mary Poppins matinee
- Banana pudding from Magnolia's
- Shopping
- Our 10 seconds of fame on the Today Show
- Running in Central Park followed by shopping on 5th Ave in sweaty workout clothes
- Italian cooking class- we made amazing risotto, pizza, roasted veggies, steak, and a lemon tart
- Mini cupcakes
- Amazing food at Sarabeth's, Balthazaar, Nobu, Olive's
- Visit to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
- Free chocolate chip cookies from Jacque Torres himself
- Meeting baby Elsie
